pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers
and requests. With
this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the
saints. (Ephesians 6:18)
This
prayer guide was assembled with prayer requests and praises
given by the delegates at the
January 19, 2006 Classis meeting.
Use this prayer guide creatively.
Use it in your church prayer groups, small groups, as a
family at the dinner table or in your own quiet times.

with the Lighthouse for their staff: Rita, Samia, Thuy,
Janet and Ben as they provide counselling, lead workshops, give
advice, and provide food and hospitality to those in need. |

called. Pray that
God will make God’s will clear to all. |

with Georgetown CRC as they call a pastor. Pray that God will give all involved discernment in making

for Elizabeth Guillaume-Koene, Ministry Coordinator as
she looks for someone to come along side her to help plan for a
day of prayer and equipping leaders in prayer.
Pray that someone will feel God’s pull to get involved
in this way. |
Praise
God with Holland Marsh CRC for their VBS activities and
preparation that happens all year.
Pray for their volunteers and those who participate in
these events. |
Pray
with Heritage Fellowship CRC for strength for their
care-givers, pastors, elders and deacons as they experience the
joys and cares of growing older. |
Pray for Maranatha
CRC as they continue in their small group ministry this
month. Pray that
the congregation will grow through these groups. |
Praise
God with the University of Toronto Campus Ministry for
their students who are experiencing God’s grace through their
Wine Before Breakfast worship service. |

with Bethel CRC Newmarket as they seek to effectively
minister to those members in their congregation who do not come
from a CRC background. |
Pray
with Second Brampton CRC as they look for people who are
called to serve on the Outreach Committee. |
Pray
with Orillia CRC as they continue the process of electing
council members. Pray
that God will prepare the hearts of those God has called to this
ministry. |
Praise
God with Barrie Covenant CRC as they are experiencing a
blessing of congregational unity and renewed purpose. |
Praise
God with All Nations Christian Fellowship CRC for the
hospitality and care they have for one another. |
Good
Friday
Praise God for the great sacrifice of Jesus
Christ. Praise
God for what Jesus’ death means for all of us.

with Rehoboth Fellowship CRC for their concerns about
membership reduction and membership commitment to the church’s
ministry. |

Easter
Sunday
Praise God for the resurrection of Jesus
Christ. May we,
filled with joy, go out to reach others with the good news of
Christ’s death and resurrection. |
Pray
with First Toronto CRC as they try to accommodate other
worshiping communities who would like to rent space from them. Help First to know how to help these other communities. |
Praise
God with ClearView CRC for the joy their Friendship Club
gives all those who participate.
Pray that the participants will find ways to get involved
in church life. Pray
also for the volunteers of the Friendship Club. |
Pray for the Toronto
Hospital Committee and chaplain Nell DeBoer.
Pray that God will continue to lead Nell to the people
and places where God’s presence is needed. Praise God for the lives that are touched through this
ministry. |
Pray
for the elders of Cochrane CRC as they lead the church
most Sunday mornings. Pray
that God will give them wisdom in their leadership and that the
congregation and community will be blessed through their work. |
Praise
God with Immanuel Brampton CRC for their Time Out for
Teen Moms ministry. Praise
God that it has stretched the congregation but also given them a
great opportunity to connect with other churches and with people
who are receptive to the love and help they are given in
Jesus’ name. |
Pray
with Alliston CRC that when the members speak about their
church to other people in the community they have enthusiasm for
their faith and their church. |

with Springdale CRC as they continue to look for a youth
pastor. Pray that
God will bring the right person to their congregation.
Pray also for those youth volunteers who are working in
the absence of a youth pastor. |
Pray with Willowdale
CRC as they look to reach out to people of many cultures.
Pray that they may find appropriate ways to train their
congregation in cross-cultural ministry. |
Pray
for all those pastors and spouses who are attending the Tri-Classis
Pastor’s Retreat this week.
Pray for a time of growth and refreshment as well as safe
travels to and from the retreat. |
Pray
with the Logos Campus Ministry (York University) as they
face the challenge of how to meet all the needs and
opportunities that have come their way without burning out.
Pray that God will show the committee and chaplain how to
grow the existing ministries and programs with their limited
resources. |
Praise
God with Richmond Hill Community CRC for their youth
programs under the direction of the youth pastor, Jack Klooster.
Pray that this program will continue to grow and reach
the youth of their congregation and community. |
Praise
God with Grace Scarborough CRC for their joy they
experience from worshipping
God. |
Pray
with Meadowvale Community CRC as they seek to become more
intentional about developing more relational connections with a
drop-in for at-risk youth called “The Dam.”
Pray for the young people in their congregation who are
beginning to do things together with the youth of The Dam. |
