prayer guide was assembled with prayer requests and
praises given by the delegates at the
May 15, 2008 Classis meeting.
Use this prayer guide creatively.
Use it in your church prayer groups, small
groups, as a family at the dinner table or in your
own quiet times.

work to communicate a clear vision for the next three
years of ministry in a way that causes the
congregation to get excited about participating. |
Pray for Chris Pullenayegem as he continues
to work with the church clusters of our Classis to
build missional churches and new church plants. |

Pray with the Race Relations Committee for
wisdom as they seek to fulfill their mandate to
encourage racial and ethnic diversity within Christian
Reformed Churches by providing forums for learning and
sharing experiences that will intentionally foster
understanding, reconciliation, and enrichment between
cultures." |
Pray with First CRC of Orillia as they face the
challenge of engaging the community in effective
outreach. |
Praise God with Georgetown CRC as they host VBS
this summer and as they have the opportunity to reach
out to more people now that the town has moved around
the church. |
Praise God with All Nations Christian Fellowship
CRC as God continues to encourage the congregation
through the ministry of the Word. |
Praise God with ClearView CRC
for the two young families and one single person who
are going on short term missions to
Lithuania, Kenya and Australia. |
Pray with Community of Meadowvale CRC as they
face many challenges from municipal, provincial and
federal governments in devoting church property to
providing affordable housing in Mississauga. |
Pray for the new Diaconal Ministries Committee
as they develop their mandate and look for members for
the new committee. |

Maranatha CRC
in Woodbridge as they prepare for the departure of
their pastor, Henk Bruinsma. |
Praise God with Holland Marsh CRC as they
generate enthusiasm for another summer of Vacation
Bible School. Pray that this may be an excellent way
to reach out to the community. |
Pray with Grace CRC in Scarborough as they face
the challenge of having more opportunities for
ministry than there are people available to fill the
opportunities. |
Pray for the Toronto Hospital Committee and
chaplain Nell DeBoer. Pray that God will
continue to lead Nell to the people and places where
God’s presence is needed. Praise God for the lives
that are touched through this ministry. |
Praise God with Springdale CRC for their
Disaster Relieve Service project in Hattiesberg,
Mississippi. |
Pray for high school
students from Calvin Seminary’s Facing Your Future
program as LOGOS (York Campus Ministry) and
Friendship Community CRC host a number of them on July
12-21, 2008. The students will be experiencing various
service projects, learning modules, in an urban
cross-cultural ministry context. Pray
that they may gain a clearer picture of God’s plans
for their future
